The BMS MA II/LPN/RN position at Bloomington Women's Care is a critical role focused on delivering comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to women across various stages of life.

This role involves providing direct patient care, supporting physicians and healthcare teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice within a women’s health setting.

The successful candidate will play a key part in patient education, clinical assessments, and the coordination of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

They will also contribute to maintaining accurate medical records and facilitating smooth clinical operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and valid licensure as a Medical Assistant II, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in women’s health or primary care.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working specifically in women’s health or obstetrics/gynecology clinical settings.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) credentials.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic or Cerner.
  • Additional training in patient counseling or health education.
  • Demonstrated skills in cultural competency and working with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, and administering medications as directed.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.
  • Conduct patient education on health maintenance, treatment plans, and preventive care specific to women’s health.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
