Clinical float – medical assistant / Lpn
The Clinical Float Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical and administrative support across multiple Bloomington Medical Services practices. This position supports physicians and advanced practice providers in a variety of specialty and primary care environments to maintain efficient clinic operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
The float role provides coverage during staff absences, vacancies, and periods of increased patient volume. Individuals in this role must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in different clinical settings while maintaining consistent patient care standards.
Candidates may be hired as Medical Assistants or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) based on licensure, education, and organizational needs.

The Clinical Float reports directly to the Practice Manager for all operational, administrative, and clinical responsibilities and works collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice providers to support patient care.

Work schedules for the Clinical Float position will vary depending on the practice location and clinical area where coverage is needed. Shifts will occur Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

This position follows the Bloomington Medical Services (BMS) holiday schedule, and offices are closed on all BMS-approved holidays.
Candidates must be a certified Medical Assistant or a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current Ohio LPN license. Flexibility to travel between different practice locations and adapt to various clinical specialties is required.
