About the Role

As an RN Circulator at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. You will be responsible for coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgeries and procedures, ensuring compliance with sterile techniques and safety protocols. Gather necessary supplies and equipment for procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team. Monitor and document patient conditions throughout the perioperative process, maintaining accurate records. Label and handle medications appropriately to ensure patient safety. Assist in updating preference cards and ensuring proper inventory management for surgical supplies and identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to maintain a seamless surgical workflow. Maintain effective communication with the surgical team, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care. Provide leadership and mentorship to new staff, fostering a collaborative surgical environment. Participate in meetings, training, and continuous learning opportunities to stay current in nursing practices. Support patient care through assessments, phone calls, and education as needed. Qualifications

  • Current RN license in Illinois required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and 1 year of peri-operative experience preferred.
