The LVN is primarily responsible for conducting pre-operative calls to gather medical histories, review medications, and coordinate necessary diagnostic tests. They also provide patient instructions and support throughout the pre-operative and PACU processes.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a critical role by providing the following essential nursing care to our patients under the supervision of our registered nurses and physicians: evaluations, pre-op calls, pre-op, and PACU. Our biggest need at the moment someone who can help with pre-op calls.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Knowledge of health care laws, regulations, and nursing care methods and procedures Excellent communication skills Advanced knowledge of EMRs Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in California from the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Service I.V. Therapy Certification Ophthalmic/plastics surgery experience (preferred)
