The PTA delivers care in accordance with physician orders, the established therapy plan of care, agency policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
This role supports patient recovery, mobility, safety, and functional independence through hands-on therapy interventions and close collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

The PTA does not perform initial evaluations, establish therapy plans of care, or make independent clinical decisions outside the direction of the supervising PT.
Work is performed in patient homes and community settings with exposure to variable environmental conditions, including pets, smoke, infectious diseases, and weather-related travel conditions.
