Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Support medical staff in delivering patient care services Assist with patient admissions and intake processes Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare them for visits Collect and document medical histories and patient information Accurately record data in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures Obtain and document vital signs Collect and process specimens as needed Provide health education and guidance to patients and families Assist patients with forms, documentation, and care coordination Prepare communication and patient education materials Operate mobile medical unit as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of MA training program. Current CMA or CMOA certification. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record. Valid drivers license, private auto insurance, and ability to be insured. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
