  • Shift: RotatingDiagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat disorders, head and neck diseases. Surgery of the head and neck, including pre and post-operative care in an in-patient and outpatient setting. Provides leadership participation of the pediatric otolaryngology clinic. Provides comprehensive consultation and ongoing patient care services for newborns, children and adolescents with ears, nose, and throat disorders in-hospital and ambulatory settings.
  • QualificationsWork
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training. License/Registration/Certification Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the specialty of planned clinical activity. Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas. Current specialty specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Education and Training Completion of a four-year M.D./D.O degree program and medical residency. Completion of a ACGME approved (or equivalent) post-graduate training in Otolaryngology followed by successful completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Otolaryngology.

Skills

Effective assessment, evaluation and resolution skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to remain flexible and positive in stressful situations. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Requirements

Requires an M.D./D.O. degree, residency in Otolaryngology, and a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience, board certification or eligibility, and a valid Texas medical license.
