About the role

The technician is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and sterilizing medical instruments to ensure quality and cleanliness. They also maintain sterilization records and organize equipment into instrument trays.

Description At Western Montana Clinic, we are continuing our 100-year tradition of providing excellent health care to the community. We are a group of local, independent providers practicing in multiple specialties. Our mission remains the same - to provide our patients with the same high quality health care that we expect for our families. We are seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at the Fort Missoula Physician's Building 3 location.

Schedule

approx. 20 - 25 hours per week M - F (every other Friday), no evenings or weekends

The Sterile Processing Technician will

  • Collect used and contaminated instruments for sorting and decontamination Operates and maintains decontamination equipment Monitors and operates sterilization equipment and maintains supplies Examines supplies to ensure quality and cleanliness Maintains records for sterilization instruments and processes sterilized items Sterilizes, sorts, wraps and organizes equipment into instrument trays
  • Manually cleans equipment and supplies

CNA or clinical experience is preferred for this position. Experience with sterilization equipment is also desired.
