About the role

The Medical Assistant will welcome patients, perform intake assessments, and assist during clinical procedures. They are also responsible for administering medications, managing patient portal communications, and coordinating referrals and prescriptions.

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant MA to be a resource for Family Medicine and Rheumatology departments at the Broadway building Missoula location.

Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, no weekends or evenings

The Medical Assistant MA will

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for their health care visit Complete intake assessments including medical history and vital signs Assist during procedures Monitor, document, and administer medications and immunizations Perform phlebotomy and point of care laboratory testing Manage and prioritize patient portal (MyChart) and telephone communications Participate in and support patient education Coordinate ongoing care including referrals and prescriptions Play an essential role in fulfilling our mission Heighten the patient experience by providing extraordinary care

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and complete a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant program, obtaining certification within six months of hire. Basic computer proficiency is required, and previous medical assistant experience is preferred.
