About the role

Responsible for the outpatient management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions through comprehensive assessments and treatment planning. Key duties include diagnosing cardiac conditions, interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating care with other providers.

Job Requirements Seeking nurse practitioner with cardiology experience who would be responsible for the outpatient management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.

Key responsibilities include the following: Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history and physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage common cardiac conditions such as: Coronary artery disease Heart failure Hypertension Atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias Hyperlipidemia Valvular heart disease Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and laboratory studies.

Prescribe medications and adjust therapies according to evidence-based guidelines and state regulations.

Provide patient and family education on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence.

Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and ancillary services.

Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives.

Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Work Experience Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Current RN and NP licensure.

National certification as an Adult-Gerontology NP, Family NP, or Acute Care NP.

Current DEA and prescriptive authority as required.

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Cardiology experience preferred.

All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

Requirements

Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and current RN/NP licensure. National certification in Adult-Gerontology, Family, or Acute Care NP is required along with DEA prescriptive authority.
