As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring continuity of care for patients. You'll engage in various clinical responsibilities and contribute to a team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients Conduct patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement treatment plans Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists for optimal patient care Maintain accurate and timely medical records Participate in hospital rounds and team meetings Communicate effectively with patients and their families Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Valid medical license to practice in the state Experience in a hospitalist role or related field Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Commitment to high standards of patient care

24-hour call shifts (5p-5p), 1 week per month

Offsite call after morning rounding

Daily Census: 6 patients

Patient Population: Adult and pediatric

Duties: Perform well baby exams and stabilize newborns post C-section and backup to the ED in emergencies

Vents required in emergent situations only (very rare)

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Certifications Required: Acls, pals, bls, atls, and nrp
