About the role

The Hospitalist is responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments and implementing individualized care plans. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor patient progress and facilitate discharges.

Description

This contract position offers an on-site working model, allowing you to engage directly with patients and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.

As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive inpatient care and will be involved in a variety of cases that showcase your medical expertise. Our medical practice prides itself on delivering high-quality healthcare services, and your contributions will be invaluable in enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations Develop and implement individualized care plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care decisions Facilitate patient discharges and outpatient follow-ups Adhere to hospital protocols and regulations for patient safety Participate in continuous education and professional development activities

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Active medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico Previous experience in a hospitalist or inpatient care setting preferred Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care

Schedule: 8a-6p

Call Requirement: 6p-8a

Up to 5 calls per night

25 beds

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
