Provide recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation, advocacy, and crisis intervention services to adults in a short-term respite program. Assist mental health clients in avoiding unnecessary hospitalization or transitioning successfully back to community living.

RESPITE COUNSELOR Lexington, MA $20.81 per hour The Edinburg Center is seeking a Respite Counselor in our innovative, community-based, respite program to assist mental health clients in avoiding unnecessary hospitalization or transition successfully from the hospital to community living. What You Will Do: Primary responsibilities include providing recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation, advocacy, support and crisis prevention/intervention services to adults temporarily residing in a short term respite.

Who You Are

BA and at least 1 year experience with adult mental health population required OR High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience will be considered. Experience in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model programs and knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation preferred. First Aid, CPR, and MAP certification within three months of hire required. Basic computer skills required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
