This position is a Part Time 22.5-hours, Monday-Friday, NO WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS!

Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will be proficient in monitoring and patient assessment and Pre/Intra/Post care particular to the patients in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department and be competent in the management of patients undergoing Cardioversion, Trans Esophageal ECHO, and all types of Stress Testing.
The Non-Invasive RN will coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population.
In addition he/she will provide support to non-RN personnel.
Perform and assist with cardiac stress testing Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care for TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and Cardioversion patients Care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients with a focus on safety, education, and outcomes Accurately obtain and interpret 12‑lead EKGs Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and respond appropriately to changes Educate patients and families on heart health, disease prevention, and health maintenance Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver person‑centered care
Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut. ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress. BLS and ACLS certification required. Minimum of one-year nursing experience required.
