About the Role

The Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) plays a vital role in supporting physical therapists and ensuring patients receive high-quality rehabilitative care.

This position involves assisting with therapeutic exercises, preparing treatment areas, and maintaining equipment to facilitate smooth clinical operations.

The PT Tech works closely with patients to provide encouragement and support during therapy sessions, helping to improve their mobility and overall well-being.

Additionally, the role requires accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team to track patient progress and adapt care plans as needed.

Ultimately, the PT Tech contributes significantly to enhancing patient outcomes and the efficiency of the physical therapy department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Physical Therapy Technician or completion of a relevant training program.
  • Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physical therapy principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Additional coursework or certification in patient care or rehabilitation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities.
