About the role

OakLeaf Clinics – Willow Creek Women’s Clinic is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for women's health and primary care!

As a member of our nurse practitioner-led care team, you'll provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care while building trusted, lifelong relationships with patients. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, a passion for women's health, and a desire to contribute to our growing practice and decades-long legacy of patient-centered care. Experience or special interest in menopause, migraine, metabolic disorders, or other women's health–related specialties is a plus. Our nurse practitioners practice collaboratively with physicians while leading the clinical direction of our practice.

At OakLeaf Clinics - Willow Creek Women’s Clinic, we deliver personalized, high-quality, comprehensive primary care and women’s health services for women of all ages in a supportive, respectful environment.

OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.

Position description

As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll assess, diagnose, treat, and educate women across the lifespan while developing individualized care plans that reflect each patient's goals and needs. You'll practice with a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative environment, supported by an experienced physician partner and a strong referral network. Working alongside a highly engaged interdisciplinary team, you'll provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic care while fostering meaningful, patient-centered relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with the latest evidence-based medicine
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
  • Provide ongoing care for patients in areas of family practice primary care and women’s health for women 12 and up.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for diverse needs including chronic disease management, acute illness, gynecological and reproductive health, and more
  • Prescribe medication, examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Gather health histories, perform physical examinations, and diagnostic procedures
  • Dictate and document all patient interactions
  • Provide contraceptive counseling, fertility support, hormone management, and menopause-related care
  • Assist in preventive health care, screenings, and patient education on lifestyle, wellness, and holistic approaches
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Notify the managing physician about unusual or unexpected events or problems
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and families
  • Perform other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the physician and within NP/PA scope of practice

Qualifications

  • Current nurse practitioner license in the State of Wisconsin
  • Certification in Women's Health (WHNP), Family Practice (FNP), or equivalent (strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience in family practice and women's health (strongly preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association (if applicable)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association (if applicable)
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent patient counseling skills
  • Knowledge of disease prevention
  • Commitment to evidence-based, holistic, and patient-centered care

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic or office setting.

Physical demands

  • Major activities of this job include frequent walking, standing, and light physical effort performed on a level surface.
  • Some carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and squatting, are involved in the medical office.

  • Manual dexterity, mobility, and good vision, including near acuity, depth perception, and accommodation, are physical requirements necessary for technical work.

Requirements
