PMHNP Required Qualifications Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations PMHNP
