Austin Health Partners (Cedar Park Pediatric & Family Medicine) is looking for a Experienced Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team! They will play a vital role in our goal to serve our patients, their families and support physicians in the community.

The compensation for this position includes a base annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, plus a production-based bonus.

  • Essential responsibilities
  • Provides patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of the designated supervising staff physician
  • Obtains medical and personal histories
  • Performs initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
  • Educates patients and families
  • Prioritizes and assesses patients
  • Provides primary care through wellness visits and assessment
  • Same day Urgent Care visits
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses to a variety of patients
  • Maintains standard universal precautions
  • Prescribes medications and completes treatments according to office policies and within age-specific parameters.
  • Maintains and completes all necessary patient record documentation
  • Assist Practice Manager in clinical skills guidance and training for clinical staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Education & experience
  • Unrestricted active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Texas license
  • 1 year FNP or PA Primary care work experience is required
  • Demonstrated computer skills with EMR experience preferred
  • DEA Registration upon hiring

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK • The care center hours are Monday - Friday 8

00am - 5:00pm.

This person will be in a split weekday call and

Saturday in-clinic morning (8:00am - 5:00pm) rotation with other Providers, not exceeding more than once a month.

Physical demands & work environment

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This job will require exposure to patient elements.

Works near others, usually within a few feet.

May work in a noisy or distracting environment.

This role routinely uses standard office and medical equipment.

Certain vaccinations are required of all clinic staff.

Requirements

Requires an unrestricted active Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and a DEA registration. At least one year of primary care experience as an FNP or PA is required.
