  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm or a flexible schedule of 4-10s from 7:00am-5:30pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.

  • DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, injections, treatment, suture removals, etc. in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider. Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, procedures, examination and/or testing of the patient. Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider. Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns. Advise patients of labs/pathology reports and book appropriate follow up/treatment appointments. Provide patient education on medications, skin conditions, wound care, pathology/lab results, etc. Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment. Assist providers in procedures; such as biopsies, excisions, and closures. Monitor patients during procedures and provide after care. Complete worklist in timely manner. Manage nurse alert cart, attend nurse alert meetings and respond to nurse alerts, as needed Assist with the flow of patient appointments. Implement and nurture continuous quality improvement within and across the department. Capable of administering high risk medications/anesthetizing skin prior to procedures. Ability to collaborate with multiple providers and carry out orders. Perform related work as required. Track melanoma patients and post-transplant patients, report findings to co-coordinators Management of department medications including versed and medication fridge Assist in training new LPN/RN employees and report progress to co-coordinators

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a valid Illinois State Registered Nurse or Practical Nursing License. CPR certification and evidence of continuing education are also required.
