About the role

The PRN Ultrasound Tech performs high-quality diagnostic sonogram procedures and coordinates the functions of the Ultrasound department. They collaborate with physicians and the Imaging Director to ensure accurate diagnoses and maintain ACR accreditation.

Overview The PRN Ultrasound Tech is responsible for administration and coordination of the Ultrasound department and all its functions.

Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.

Works with Imaging Director to maintain ACR accreditation.

Demonstrates initiative, insight and judgment in the decision making process.

Performs diagnostic ultrasounds and a high level of image quality.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic sonogram procedures as required: achieve a high level of image quality Be observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum Obtain patient history as needed Act as an agent to obtain radiologic information to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment Be proficient in the technical operation of ultrasound equipment; use proper care in handling equipment.

Qualifications

Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program and/or a certified Ultrasound program, RDMS certification Plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience About MANA Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA) is an independent physician group that includes family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and an array of specialists and advanced health services. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of a certified Radiological Technology or Ultrasound program and hold RDMS certification. A minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
