We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team in our Leon and Lamoni locations. This position plays a vital role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
What you’ll do
Welcome, room, and prepare patients for provider visits in a professional and compassionate manner.
Obtain and accurately document patient information including chief complaints, allergies, pain assessments, vital signs, and weight.
Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient concerns, needs, or status changes appropriately.
Provide patient education and distribute applicable educational materials based on patient needs and learning considerations.
Explain laboratory and diagnostic testing procedures, including preparation instructions.
Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice and according to provider orders or RN delegation.
Utilize safe clinical practices and infection control procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, quality patient care.

A current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required, along with knowledge of Iowa Board of Nursing regulations. Previous clinical experience is preferred, with a strong preference for those having two years of nursing experience.
