About the role

The Telemetry Technician monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal patterns using telemetry equipment. They notify nursing and medical personnel according to established procedures and perform clerical duties as necessary.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

  • Location: Elmhurst, IL
  • Full
  • Time: 36 hours/week, night shift
  • Hours:
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00p-7:00a
  • Float to any inpatient unit that may need assistance
  • On call - if census is low and not needed in other areas of hospital
  • Holidays are scheduled on a rotating track
  • Self-schedule 4-5 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

What you will do

Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary.

  • Experience: Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience.

  • Experience with Philips Monitoring System
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
