  • Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) at RNP plays a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to clients undergoing treatment for opioid use disorder. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, activating orders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and wellness.

Hours

  • Every other weekend 7am-11am

  • Medication
  • Administration: Administer methadone in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Monitor clients for side effects and effectiveness of treatment.
  • Care
  • Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Patient
  • Education: Provide education to clients when needed regarding methadone treatment, medication adherence, and recovery resources.

Documentation

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, orders and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Crisis

Intervention: Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed, ensuring patient safety.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as clinic policies and procedures related to medication administration and patient care.

Supportive

Environment: Foster a supportive and respectful environment for clients, promoting dignity and empowerment in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

Ability to provide caring and compassionate care. Specialized judgment, skill in observation, care, and counseling of clients with co-occurring disorders. Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships. Excellent communication skills. Ability to project a professional image. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: RN licensed in the State of Connecticut. Previous experience in opiate treatment programming, co-occurring programming or similar community-based behavioral health organization preferred. CPR certified Qualifications

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut and CPR certified. Previous experience in opiate treatment or community-based behavioral health is preferred.
