The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for refilling automated dispensing systems, filling daily medication carts, and managing pharmacy inventory. They also repackage bulk medications and operate with minimal supervision in a behavioral health setting.

How you’ll contribute

A Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role

Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.

Fills medication carts on a daily basis.

Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.

Repackages bulk medications

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have an high school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional requirements include:

Registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy in good standing and PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Intern.

CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred

Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma and be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy as a CPhT or Pharmacy Intern. CPR and De-escalation certifications are required, and previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
