What You'll Do

The Clinician provides direct clinical services to clients receiving treatment within the Wellness Ranch residential substance use disorder treatment program. The Clinician is responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

The Clinician supports the delivery of evidence-based treatment services to individuals receiving care at ASAM Levels 3.5 and 3.7/3.7-WM, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team to promote recovery, safety, and overall client well-being.

Major Tasks,

Duties: and Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Treatment Planning

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for clients entering the program.

Participate in ASAM level of care determinations and clinical evaluations.

Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and treatment team.

Review and update treatment plans according to program policy and regulatory requirements.

Monitor client progress toward treatment goals.

Individual and Group Counseling

Provide individual counseling sessions to assigned clients.

Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions.

Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches appropriate for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Support clients in developing recovery skills and relapse prevention strategies.

Documentation

Document all clinical services in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with program policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.

Complete discharge summaries and continuing care recommendations.

Collaboration with Treatment Team

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.

Communicate relevant clinical information to medical, nursing, and behavioral health staff.

Coordinate care with internal and external providers when appropriate.

Support implementation of individualized treatment plans.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities

Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Follow program policies and procedures related to clinical documentation and service delivery.

Support compliance with Kentucky behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment regulations.

Participate in required supervision, staff meetings, and continuing education.

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and recovery principles.

Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and evidence-based treatment approaches.

Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and documentation skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field required. Current Kentucky licensure or certification preferred (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, LCADC, CADC). Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.

  • CPR / First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)

Work Environment

This position operates within a residential substance use disorder treatment facility and requires regular interaction with clients experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field is required. Candidates should ideally hold a Kentucky professional license (such as LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT) and have experience with substance use disorders.
