Lincoln Internal Medicine Associates (LIMA) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing outpatient practice. As we continue to expand—including the addition of another physician in 2027—we're looking for an LPN who enjoys building relationships with patients while working alongside experienced physicians, physician assistants, and a collaborative clinical team.

Your role

As an LPN at LIMA, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality outpatient care while working closely with our providers and patients.

Responsibilities

include:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and immunizations within LPN scope of practice
  • Perform EKGs, spirometry, ear irrigations, and other clinical procedures
  • Assist providers with examinations and treatments
  • Process medication refill requests
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results and provider recommendations
  • Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Support OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and quality initiatives

Qualifications

  • Current Nebraska Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Previous outpatient or primary care experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and computer skills

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Nebraska LPN license, be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, and possess BLS certification. Previous outpatient or primary care experience is preferred but not required.
