As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, providing a high level of support and expertise. This position is essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and will allow you to engage with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospital patients Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans Manage discharges and coordinate follow-up care Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures Participate in continuous professional development and training Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation

Requirements

Current medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice for MD Certification as a Nurse Practitioner for NP candidates Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 8a-5p

Beeper call

No ICU: No procedures required

Hospital's Average Census: 40

2-4 admits per day

Support Staff: MD, NP

Must be board-certified

DEA required

Paid travel & expenses
