About the role

The aide observes patient populations and monitors licensed technologists' use of positioning techniques and exposure settings. Additionally, they perform administrative duties to support technologists while on duty.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Observes all patient populations and watches the licensed technologists’ utilize proper positioning techniques and evaluate proper exposure settings for exams. The Radiology Administrative Aide may perform administrative duties to assist the technologist while on duty.

Qualifications

1. Minimum completion of 1 year in approved School of Radiologic Technology. 2. Knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and performance standards. 3. Minimum completion of 1 semester of hospital clinical. EDUCATION / LICENSURE: State license and ARRT within 6 months of graduation. 2. Must have and maintain current CPR certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program. Requirements

Candidates must have completed at least one year in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and one semester of hospital clinicals. A state license, ARRT certification within six months of graduation, and current CPR certification are required.
