Overview Operating Room RN (Travel) – OR | Rochester, NY | Travel assignment starting 08/17/2026 for multiple weeks | Weekly pay range $2,349 to $2,427 per week | Shift: 4x10-hour days |

Unit: 14-bed OR in a hospital setting; travel-only assignment with a diverse surgical case mix and robotics cases

Responsibilities

  • Circulate and assist in the OR for procedures across multiple specialties, including ortho/total joint, neuro/spine, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic, bariatric, ENT, plastics, general surgery, and Da Vinci Xi robotic cases
  • Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument counts, draping, positioning, and equipment readiness; monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes
  • Document perioperative events in the electronic health record (EPIC); coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and OR staff; facilitate efficient turnover
  • Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion as required by the facility; assist with patient access and intraoperative medication management
  • Float to designated units as needed; participate in call coverage; uphold safety, infection control, and patient advocacy throughout the perioperative process

Requirements

  • Active New York RN license in hand to submit
  • BLS certification in hand; CNOR certification may be required (confirm with account manager)
  • Minimum 3 years RN experience; OR/surgical experience required; travel RN experience; return staff policy: 1 year
  • Phlebotomy and IV insertion competency required
  • EPIC charting experience; ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment and to float to other units; call required
