Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit during night shifts, including planning, coordination, and direct care.
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with attention to age-related physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Develop and implement care plans; monitor vital signs; manage medication dosages; recognize and respond to physiological changes; address psychosocial needs.
• Document care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plans as needed.
• Orient, supervise, and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel (e.g., CNAs) within scope of practice.
• Ensure patient safety, adherence to standards of care, and compliant handoffs and charting.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Ability to provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a med/surg unit
• Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills; proficiency with vital signs and medication administration
• Experience coordinating care with CNAs/ancillary staff; capacity to delegate within scope
• Availability for 12-hour night shifts and for a 13-week travel assignment starting 08/03/2026
