Your Role on the Team
The Phlebotomist is primarily responsible for collecting patient blood via venipuncture or skin puncture. In addition, phlebotomists also perform clerical duties such as answering telephone calls directed at the front desk of the laboratory, as well as logging the specimens in the laboratory management system and processing them for testing.
What It Takes to be Successful
2 years of hospital experience with adults and pediatric blood collections preferred. Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
