Hospitalists provide coverage for Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center and Essentia Health Duluth, located on the same campus and connected via an indoor skywalk system. Additionally, these sites provide secondary and tertiary care services to patients across a wide region in northern Wisconsin and north-central and eastern Minnesota.
Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center is a 350-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I-certified Trauma Center, home to a consistently top-ranked cardiovascular program, and a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.
Typical team workload includes cross-coverage of approximately 230–270 patients per night, plus 15–20 admissions.
Open ICU; ventilator management is not required.

Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR. National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
