About the role

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced emergency department. Responsibilities include addressing basic human needs, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with families and caregivers.

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013 Work hours: Full Time/Nights; (6:45P-7:15A); Variable Shifts Must be available for weekend and holiday requirement Emergency Department Highlights: · Opportunity to work with a diverse population · Staff engagement encouraged · Educational and career growth including specialty certification · NCAP opportunity · Work schedule flexibility – alternating weekends

Here’s What You Need

  • · Nursing Diploma in nursing required or · Associate’s degree in nursing required or · Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred · 1 year of experience as registered nurse required · 1+ years of experience as an RN in an ED acute care setting strongly preferred · RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required and · CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required and · ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days and · PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days and · TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course upon hire preferred · A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Requires a nursing diploma or degree and at least one year of experience as a registered nurse. Mandatory certifications include BCLS, CPI, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes.
