  • Purpose: - The Emergency Evaluation (BA) primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services.

  • Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough assessments of individuals in crisis to evaluate their mental health status and immediate needs. - Determine the appropriate level of care and intervention required for stabilization and safety. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement crisis intervention plans. - Provide crisis counseling and support to individuals and their families. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes. - Coordinate with external agencies and resources to facilitate access to additional services and support. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in crisis intervention and mental health care. - Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in the provision of emergency mental health services.

  • Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required - A minimum of 2-year behavioral healthcare experience required

  • Abilities: - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively assess and evaluate emergency situations. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick, informed decisions. - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively. - Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to behavioral health services and crisis intervention.
