The below opportunity is a local or travel assignment opportunity in Auburn, Buffalo, Rochester, Clifton Springs, Geneva, and Utica, NY.
Depending on the travel assignment you are interested in, there will be a radius rule that must be met to qualify, which can be between 50 to 75 miles.
WorkFit Medical Staffing is actively seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill critical roles in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
As an ICU Nurse, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients, monitor vital signs closely, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).
Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team.
Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.
Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals.
Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation.
Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.
Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical skills. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year. Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
