Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job

Overview Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU) travel assignment in Fortuna, California. Start date 08/24/2026 for several weeks. Shifts are 3x12-hour days. Work in a 4-bed acute care MICU serving adults and geriatrics with Epic charting required.

• Unit/setting: Medical ICU (4-bed MICU) in an acute care environment
• Travel assignment with no guaranteed hours
• Orientation and onboarding components included

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• Manage ventilated patients, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP as part of standard care
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips; monitor hemodynamics and ABG interpretation
• Provide central/PICC/port care, arterial line management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy
• Administer blood products and support lines, suctioning, chest tube assistance as needed
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Interpretation Services; document in Epic

Requirements

• Active California RN license (pending license accepted per posting)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• RTO: no more than 7 days
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
