About the role

The Medical Assistant supports psychiatric care by performing TMS and Spravato treatments and managing patient precertifications. Additional duties include taking vitals, coordinating appointments, and handling front office administrative tasks.

Mindfully Psychiatry is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our office in Dublin, OH. This position plays a key role in patient care, working with our physician and other staff to provide the best in patient care. This role will be full-time, working Monday Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Pay Rate

$18-$22 per hour.

Responsibilities.

Assist with medication refills-calling pharmacy, getting info, calling in meds etc.

Answer the telephone promptly and courteously, screen calls, takes messages, provides information, and follows up on patient issues in a timely manner.

Schedule patient appointments and procedures ordered by the providers.

Collaborate with other scheduling staff and provider(s) in the coordination of appointment scheduling.

Provide support to providers by completing OARRS reports, Prior Authorizations, and responding to fax and emails requests for information.

Follow system and office policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.

Maintains applicable certification/licensure.

Assists with the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation service by obtaining precertification of patients, procedure scheduling, and performing treatments.

Doing follow-up on patients as needed.

Obtain vitals as needed on patients in the office.

Assisting with other office responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program. Basic knowledge of medications and medical terminology. Must have proficient computer skills. Help with medication refills-calling pharmacy, getting info, calling in meds etc. (required)

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience working as a medical assistant in a physician's office. Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems. One year of pediatric experience in a practice. Experience with phlebotomy and injections.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a high school diploma and be willing to work as a 1099 contractor. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in a physician's office and knowledge of EHR systems.
