Summary

  • OAL is seeking a skilled and engaging MRI Tech to join our MRI Team. The MRI Tech is a trusted member of the MRI team who provides quality diagnostic images to support the physician in diagnosis and treatment. These individuals are working to ensure that service to the patient comes first.

  • Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Scan MRI patients according to OAL protocols, great understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology and medical terminology. Education in MRI safety and possible contraindications in MRI. Ability to accurately position patients, perform contrast studies and apply critical thinking. Navigating EPIC to perform multiple tasks. Perform required daily equipment QA and documentation, to include weekly visual check list and monthly crash cart checks. Assist with ACR accreditation renewals. Maintain direct contact with Supervisor for all scanner maintenance needs. Follow OSHA guidelines during all procedures and with daily cleaning of MRI room and positioning aides. Copy MRI’s for patients to a disk as requested. Prepare paperwork for upcoming appointments, to include comparison reports if applicable. Follow contrast screening guidelines and order lab work as needed. Forward reports to OAL computerized charts and outside facilities. Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience: Current American registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) license. Current CPR license. Two years of dedicated MRI experience preferred.

Requirements
