About the role

Provide excellence in patient care and customer service within an acute-care hospital environment. Ensure all practices align with regulatory, professional, legal, and hospital policies while modeling core organizational values.

Responsibilities

SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals

Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center. Inland Valley Medical Center A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County’s only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery. Rancho Springs Medical Center A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region’s largest birthing center along with the area’s only NICU in combination with Rady Children’s Hospital and the region’s first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program. As a staff member providing support expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care and customer service by sharing your talent in your chosen field. Staff will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement. Qualifications

  • ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Ø Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Ø Telephone skills. Ø Basic computer systems. Ø Typing and filing skills. Ø Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions. Ø Ability to accurately interpret and analyze basic cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Ø Six (6) months experience working as a CNA preferred.
  • MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Ø High School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Ø Current California CNA License Ø BLS Ø Basic dysrhythmia certification preferred, or to be obtained within 6 months of accepting position.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT Ø Ability to work in high volume fluctuating census environment. Ø Subject to many interruptions. Ø Subject to irregular hours. Ø Ability to work in fast-paced environment with fluctuating noise levels. Ø Exposure to combative patients. Ø Prolonged exposure to LCD screens.

Requirements

Requires a current California CNA license and BLS certification, with a high school diploma strongly preferred. Candidates should have basic computer skills and the ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
