Responsibilities

• Emergency Room (ER) Technician Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis.
• Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow.

• Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.

Qualifications

ER Tech Job Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire. EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework. Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
