This contract position offers an on-site working environment where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cancer patients while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes by utilizing advanced radiation techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement personalized radiation treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary Communicate effectively with patients and their families Stay updated with advancements in radiation oncology techniques Participate in patient education and support programs Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in the state of Kentucky Experience in Radiation Oncology (Associate level) Strong clinical skills and knowledge of radiation therapy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 8a-4:30p

No call requirement

Patient Volume: 20 per day

Duties: Oversee treatments, new consults, follow-ups, planning, status checks, and tumor conference participation

Case Types: Various oncologic disease states

Required Procedures: Sbrt, imrt, 3d, srs

Support Staff: 1 RN, 4 Radiation Therapists, 2 Medical Physicists, and 3 Dosimetrists

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
