  • Category: Health CareMalvern Treatment Centers is currently seeking a full time Treatment Engagement Specialist to work at our Malvern Treatment Center facility in Philadelphia. The location of our Malvern Treatment Centers - Philadelphia recently relocated to 3905 W. Ford Road - Philadelphia, PA 19131. The Treatment Engagement Specialist is a newly created position with primary responsibilities as required as a member of the Treatment Team in delivering direct patient care services. Establishes a therapeutic transition between admission and treatment programming. Conducts biopsychopsocials and initial ASAMs for new admissions to ensure accurate placement in level of care. The schedule for the Treatment Engagement Specialist is a full time schedule working eight (8) hour shifts. The hours are 40 in a two week pay period and does have an every other weekend requirement. Primary Job Responsibilities Meets with patients within 24 hours of admission to develop preliminary treatment course and communicates this amongst interdisciplinary team accordingly Administers assessments and participates in case conceptualization through the use of ASAM criteria Documents assessments in electronic medical record which facilitates UM and corresponds to goals and objectives in treatment plan. Provides clinical orientation to patients upon admission and outlines facility practices/policies as well as explains rationale for practices/policies Provides weekend UM duties to assist with faxing of clinical information to our payors Identifies individual treatment needs and makes appropriate referrals to enhance support system engagement Participates in treatment team to ensure handoff communication with patient’s assigned counselor upon completion of initial assessments. Counsels patients regarding their addiction Promotes the safety/wellness and overall well-being of patients Must complete 13 hours of training per year. Other functions as assigned.   • QualificationsQualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education and/or
  • Experience: ASAM certification. Experienced in completing ASAM assessments. Requirements

Requires an ASAM certification and a degree in a human services field, with experience requirements varying by degree level (none for Master's, 1 year for Bachelor's, 2 years for Associate's). Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills and a focus on client care and compliance.
