The Surgical Tech assists with direct patient care in the Operating Room, including preparing and stocking the OR and setting sterile instrument fields. They are also responsible for maintaining aseptic techniques and assisting with the orientation of new staff.

Your Role on the Team
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. Required to float between UCI Health locations as needed. Applicants with less that two years of experience may be considered as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01-$39.78. Applicants with two or more years of experience may be considered as a Sr. Surgical Tech (8930) with a pay range of $34.64-$43.07.

Required to float between UCI Health locations as needed Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology BLS Required Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology
