In the role of Bariatric Nutrition Coordinator, you will: Plan and provide nutritional care to bariatric patients, both before and after surgery.
Perform comprehensive pre and postoperative assessments.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.
Provide individual and group nutritional education classes, focusing on pre-operative and postoperative diet progression and vitamin supplementation.
Serve as a resource for research-based bariatric nutrition recommendations to the bariatric team.
Coordinate the program website and social media blog to provide nutritional guidelines for bariatric patients.
Participate in monthly support groups and team meetings.
Apply independent clinical judgment under the supervision of leadership.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Health Sciences and Registered Dietitian certification. Candidates must obtain Weight Management and BLS certifications within specified timeframes.
