Memorial Community Hospital and Health System (MCH), located in Blair, Nebraska, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team.

This position focuses primarily on inpatient physical therapy services, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to support recovery and improve quality of life.

What You’ll Do (Physical Therapist): Schedule: Monday-Friday day hours, 40 hours per week.

Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients under physician orders using best clinical practice standards Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate Complete accurate and timely documentation per departmental guidelines Communicate patient progress with referral sources and care teams Utilize, maintain, and request therapy equipment and supplies as needed Assist with program development and continuous improvement initiatives Support orientation and training of new staff, volunteers, and students Participate in approved continuing education and provide departmental in-services Engage in community education and outreach programs What You’ll Do (Physical Therapy Assistant): Schedule: Monday-Friday day hours, 40 hours per week.

Assist the licensed Physical Therapist with patient assessment, treatment, care planning, and patient education in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards.

Provide hands-on patient treatment to help achieve established rehabilitation goals.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and carry out coordinated plans of care.

Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate any changes in condition to the Physical Therapist.

Complete accurate and timely documentation following departmental guidelines.

Follow up with referral sources regarding patient progress and treatment plans.

Assist with scheduling patients and coordinating therapy services.

Safely utilize, maintain, and request therapy equipment and supplies as needed.

Contribute to program development, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction efforts.

Assist with student affiliation programs and supervise students in accordance with state regulations.

What You’ll Need (Physical Therapist): Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required (Master’s or Doctorate preferred) Current Nebraska Physical Therapy license Current BLS certification Minimum of three (3) years of physical therapy experience preferred What You’ll Need (Physical Therapy Assistant): Associate degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of Nebraska.

Current BLS Certification required.

Requirements

Requires a degree in Physical Therapy (Associate for PTA, Bachelor's for PT) and a current Nebraska state license. BLS certification is mandatory, and three years of experience is preferred for the Physical Therapist role.
