The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room and ensures all sterile instruments and supplies are available for procedures. They assist the surgical team during operations to maintain a sterile environment and support safe patient care.

Prior experience as a surgical technologist or assistant preferred Knowledge of various surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies/materials, all patient care equipment and supplies, policy, procedure, and protocol manuals, audio-visual, video, and microscopic equipment, computers, telecommunication equipment, and wall/ceiling and tanked medical gases preferred. Candidates must have a high school diploma, surgical technologist certification, and be a graduate of an accredited program. BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program is required upon completion of orientation.
