  • Our ICUs provide care for a broad spectrum of critically ill patients, including medical, surgical, trauma, neurological, and cardiovascular populations.

  • GW Hospital ICU Summary Medical ICU (MICU) – 32 beds: Complex medical critical care patients Surgical ICU (SICU) – 24 beds: Post-operative and surgical specialties Trauma ICU (TICU) – 20 beds: High-acuity trauma patients Neuro ICU – 20 beds: Neurological and neurosurgical care Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) – 24 beds: Advanced cardiac and ECMO care Job Summary Are you an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse looking to take your career to the next level?
  • The George Washington University Hospital is seeking skilled and adaptable ICU nurses to join our dynamic critical care team across multiple specialties.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of high-acuity environments within a leading academic medical center.

Responsibilities

Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of critical care populations.

Monitoring

Utilize advanced technology to monitor and manage critically ill patients.

Collaboration

Work within interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Critical

Thinking: Apply strong clinical judgment in complex, fast-paced situations.

Advocacy

Support patients and families throughout the ICU experience.

Documentation

Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.

Education

Provide education on conditions, treatments, and recovery.

Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance ICU care delivery.

Requirements

Requires a BSN (or current enrollment), a DC RN license, and at least 2 years of full-time ICU experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
