Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at our University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN!
This is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule with weekends as needed: Week 1 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (11AM - 11PM) Week 2 Thursday and Friday (11AM - 11PM).
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.
The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities.
The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Performs excellent patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs. Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Required Qualifications ARRT Radiology Tech Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
1 year of experience in a related role Additional certifications in Imaging Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
