Position Name: Certified Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine) Location: New Hampshire Specialty: Internal Medicine Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay Rate: $19.90 - $27.00/hour (Based on education and experience) Shift: Days Schedule: Monday – Friday (Based on clinic needs) Position Requirements: Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a medical office or clinical setting – Required Completion of at least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or equivalent Medical Assistant training – Required Must maintain active Medical Assistant Certification – Required Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care, and medical terminology Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times Education, License & Certification Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent formal training – Required Active Medical Assistant Certification – Required BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
Perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, laboratory testing, and other procedures within the scope of Medical Assistant certification. Assist providers during patient examinations, including obtaining vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures while providing compassionate care. Answer and return patient phone calls as directed by the provider. Educate patients according to physician instructions regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care. Assist with medical documentation, referrals, laboratory requisitions, and other clinical records. Maintain adequate inventory and order clinical supplies as needed. Assist with nursing procedures and other patient care responsibilities as directed by the provider. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Perform additional duties assigned by the Clinical Coordinator or Practice Manager within the scope of Medical Assistant certification.
