The Endoscopy CNA works as part of the nursing team, assisting patients before and after endoscopic procedures by monitoring vital signs, performing point of care testing, and aiding with movement and daily living activities. Working with patients before and after Endoscopic procedures as a member of the nursing team. The CNA will assist with vital signs, point of care testing, patient movement, and throughput in the Endoscopy Department.
o Taking of vital signs
o Collection of specimens
o Assisting patient with personal hygiene and ambulation.
o Provides quality patient care, assisting with activities of daily living.
o Communicates effectively with patients and their families where appropriate.

Performs all duties in accordance with safety and other laws, rules, and regulations set forth by appropriate regulatory and government agencies and in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
May be required to perform similar or related duties as may be necessary on an emergency basis or as designated by the department or supervisor.
The nature of the tasks/responsibilities required of employees in this position will likely expose them to blood and body fluids. Employees will be oriented to and required to understand and follow the standard precautions for infection control. High School Graduate or GED completion.
Certified Nursing Assistant License: Current BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Medical/Surgical Inpatient setting.
$19.50 - $26.24
